For our first issue, we will accept 3 works of fiction, 3 works of creative non-fiction, and 10 poems. You can find detailed guidelines for each category below. Any submissions that don’t make it into this issue may be resubmitted for future issues.

This year’s theme is “Roots,” so keep that in mind as you’re creating and submitting!

The deadline is April 30 at 11:59 p.m. All submissions must be made online via Google Forms.

General Guidelines:

  • ALL submissions must be made in PDF format.
  • Submissions should be void of any personal identifiers (e.g. name, nickname, e-mail, etc). This information will be collected via the submission form so we can contact you once your submission has been reviewed.
  • You may submit ONE of each type of submission (e.g. One fiction piece, one non fiction piece, and one poem) for consideration per issue
  • Works that include slurs (q*eer, d*ke, f*g, etc) will be reviewed on a case by case basis. We understand that there is power in reclaiming words, but not everyone in the LGBT community is comfortable with the same umbrella terms. Including these words is NOT grounds for automatic disqualification, however.
